We have a Cisco 3941b and static IP. Creating a socket to test GRE protocol fails. I have been on the phone endlessly with tier 2 support and can get no answers. I can find no information online if this modem even supports the GRE protocol.

Cisco DPC3941b replaced SMC and now 8x8 VoIP phones cannot connect
Yesterday Comcast came in to replace a failing SMC box with a Cisco DPC3941b. Our 8x8 VoIP phones have been working well for about 5 years with the SMC...now they do not. Internet is OK.
Over most of the past 24 hours have been searching and reading various forums like this one and see no solutions. Spent over an hour with 8x8 support, and ran their network analysis tool which came back with all green checkmarks for about a dozen aspects of required connectivity. We rebooted the Polycom IP335 phones this morning and the all still come back with "URL call is disabled".
I see no QoS settings, and research indicates that SIP-ALG is supposedly disabled by default on these boxes, even though there's no indication for this feature. SIP-ALG definitely needs to be disabled. I've opened port 5060 in the Port Triggering section.
Often came across the suggestion to have this box put into bridge mode and buy another router for the LAN, but unfortunately I'm away for 2 weeks and have been doing all I can remotely via one of the PC's.
There are 7 people without office phones they desperately need (plus no fax now).
ANY help is welcome, as long as it does not involve bridge-mode configuration.

Comcast Business equipment fee now costs US$200+ per year for a gateway worth less than half that
So, imagine my surprise when I received my monthly Comcast Business bill to discover that Comcast's equipment fee has increased another US$2 per month. Not -- of course not. That's more than US$200 per year for equipment worth less than half that *at retail.*
"IMPORTANT INFORMATION: As business costs continue to rise, please be advised that effective June 1, 2019, the rate for the Comcast Business modem monthly rental fee has increased to $16.95 per month. To learn more, please visit business.comcast.com/pricechanges or contact us at 800-391-3000."
The web page referenced by Comcast contains absolutely no useful information related to this issue but does carry the following ever-so-useful disclaimer:
"Note: This is not a comprehensive list of all taxes and fees that may be found on your bill."
This from a vendor who refuses to allow any *business* with a static network (and most likely an outrageously priced subnet lease) from purchasing and managing their own equipment.
Never mind that I'm under contract through 30 June 2021. But I guess Comcast isn't subject to such business agreements.
My city's (Saint Paul, MN) regulator, the Office of Cable Communications regulates only the city's cable television franchise, punting all internet regulation matters to the US FCC. Well, now, isn't that convenient.
Connected devices list is empty
I have a number of computers connected to my Comcast modem/router both wired and wirelessly The wired devices are connected through an unmanaged switch. But nothing shows up in my connected devices list. I have seen several posts about this same problem for a long time and the solution from Comcast always seems to be a hard reset which according to the users does not permanently correct the problem. Please tell me when we can expect a permanent solution to this ongoing problem.

The Port Forwarding with Public ip is not working internal network
Hello.
I have a problem with port forwarding after I changed comcast business modem.
I have comcast modem and own router connected to modem.
The comcast modem has public ip 71.59.xxx.xx and private ip 192.168.0.1
The router has wan ip address 192.168.0.2 and private ip 10.0.0.1
All computer are connected to own router. The server computer has static private ip 10.0.0.15
The network are same as before only different is new modem.
I changed the modem DMZ set to 192.168.0.2 and changed firewall disabled.
I did not change anything own my router. (the router DMZ is set to 10.0.0.15)
If I put ip address 192.168.0.2 on web browser, it connect to 10.0.0.15. The port forwarding looks working but if I put public ip 71.59.xxx.xx then it show me comcast modem login.
I tried from my iphone with public ip then it connect to server 10.0.0.15 if I turn on WIFI on my iphone then it show me the comcast modem login.
I use the public ip address only for my job from internal and external network. the problem is if I turn on iphone WIFI and connect to internal network. the port forwarding is not working with using public ip.
The setting looks OK but why?
Please help.

New Modem Question
I am looking at getting the Motorla MG7540, instead of paying 16.95 a month for my current modem through Comcast. It is on the list of modems that will work with my service. I don't use VOIP through Comcast, but have a VOIP service through Intermedia. It uses an ethernet cable, rather than a standard phone jack. Will this modem work so I can continue to use my internet and VOIP setup?

Password reset for CGA4131COM
Hi there, we need the password reset on our CGA4131COM. What is the process for doing that?
Modem/router for gate and security system ISSUES
We just installed 3 fixed IP addresses to support our gate security system for our HOA. Comcast Business provided us with a residental modem that has Wireless and VoIP capabilities. We do not need any of these features. The modem is huge and one is stuffed into a weatherproof box next to our gate. The modem appears to overheat and shut down every few days (Combination of no ventilation and being in Florida). Is there another hardware solution that would meet the basic need of connecting the client with a single fixed IP address and give us more room for ventilation or be less susceptable to heat. Our security company provided us with a simple but robust router to connect to the gate mechanism so there could be options. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Comcast Business service Down or Unusable
Hello,
Our Comcast Business Internet has become nearly unusable over the past few days - starting on Sunday August 11th. Troubleshooting has gotten me to the point where it seems like it's external to our building, so I'm opening this hoping to find a solution.
Running an Arris SB6190. I've tried factory resets, and lots of obviously rebooting of devices. There are no errors on the Arris. The internet connections are slow, and sometimes completely offline. This is happening throughout the day, and night, and greatly impacting our business.
From the Arris SB6190 troubleshooting guide: https://arris.secure.force.com/consumers/articles/General_FAQs/SB6190-Troubleshoot-Internet-Connection
Acceptable SNR Levels (dB):
If QAM64, SNR should be 23.5 dB or greater.
If QAM256 and DPL( -6 dBmV to +15 dBmV) SNR should be 30 dB or greater.
If QAM256 and DPL(-15 dBmV to -6 dBmV) SNR should be 33 dB or greater.
These vales look like they are in the range. What else should be looked at?

CBR-T / Technicolor CGA4131COM HOW2s
I am a new business customer with the Technicolor CGA4131COM Gateway device and am having a few issues. I would like to collect issues and fixes in this topic for others to use.
HOW2 change and save the DHCP address scheme that I want. I have made an initial change to get the subnet I want but I am not allow to more narrowly define the exact segment. This is under Gateway/Intial Setup/Enable LAN DHCP. DHCP is enabled and I have been able to change the LAN IP to the subnet I want (ie 192.168.231.XX) but the DHCP Start and End IP address boxes give me an error of "Please enter a value less than or equal to 13". The number 13 is correct as I am using a Subnet Mask of 240 but I cannot the exact segment I want.

Buzzing noise from PPC EVO1-9-u/u?
I keep getting a loud buzzing noise from our amplifier and it starts and stops at random. Any way to resolve this or would I need a tech to come look at it?
