Hi all,
I have an interesting situation that I need assistance to see if it was possible or if its not. So I have a /29 block of static IPs that I am looking to seperate on the one Comcast modem. I have the goals I am trying to acheive below
1. I want to use 1 static IP out of the /29 for a primary network which I have working connected to an ASA. I was able to succesfully achieve this using 1 port on the back of the modem.
2. I want to use another static IP out of the /29 for a second router to have its own subnet. I havent successfully been able to do this. The model router I am using for it is a Linksys wrtg54.
I hooked it up to the comcast modem on port 3(rj 45 connection) on the back of the modem and chose the static ip option under my routers configuration web page and filled out my information but it will not ping or traceroute out anywhere. Is this possible to do off of 1 comcast modem or do I need to configure something else that I am missing?
I have DHCP disabled on the comcast cable modem and bridge mode is disabled on it also. If I need to supply more information I can get it.
Thanks
Good Evening,
It has come to my attention that our business gateway's admin password is no longer the default one, we have no evidence of the password being changed, cusadmin - highspeed and cusadmin - CantTouchThis do not work, please reset our gateway.
Thank you,
Omar
Greetings -
I am attempting to set up port forwarding for an extrnal time server (NTP), I have added the service in the Gateaway with the required port (123) and a local ip. When I check the port status via the site https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ it reports the port as closed. I have called customer support and they have verfified that the setting are correct. When I telnet into my local SNTP clock it reports thst it sends a request to the time server but no reply is receieved. I am at a loss and would appreciate any help.
Thanks -

Where do i go - to reset the cusadmin password on my comcast gateway?
I saw that the Orbi by Netgear AC2200 was not on the list of compatible devices with Business acct. in Feb 2019. Has the device been added to the list of compatible devices yet? I need parental controls!!
Hi, i need to reset the admin password for my comcast business internet gateway. Please assist.
This issue was known and posted about on 01-17-2018. This is 05-21-19 and I have already purchased a new router so I can see my devices. The cost was 98.00 plus tax. Please add a credit to my account for this amount. There is nothing that can be said for a business class customer that will suffice for an issue that has been known for over 16 months. Thank you.
Hello,
I recently had business internet cable modem upgraded to DPC3941B in office. Tech guy ported the settings from previous SMC modem.
Most part it is working but there is one thing not working after the modem upgrade.
I have 13 static public IP with this 300M plan. On this internet, I have Windows PC with DHCP (10.1.10.xx) and static IP Windows PC, let's say Z with a simple FTP server running (non secure mode).
I am able to ftp to this Z from AWS and my home PC ftp client. But ftp client on this 10.1.10.x DHCP range PC does not establish any connnection to this static IP Z. This was working before with previous modem.
Modem setting is very simple, no bridge, no port fowarding, firewall setting to default (low).
In modem admin console (10.1.10.1) , there is diag tool traceroute. when I enter the IP of this Z and test, it times out.
I feel this is outside of Modem admin setting and need some help.
I found below topic, not same issue but I feel some similarity and "have the profile rebuilt" maybe what I need.

Thanks in advance!
We use System Center Operations Manager to monitor the up/down status of all of nodes, as of approx 6AM 5/29/19 our Comcast links are no longer responding to Pings. The sites are up and passing traffic.
Was there a change? Was any notice sent out to end users?
We have been made aware of an issue where some customers are unable to view connected devices when logged into their Comcast modem (model: Cisco DPC3941 & DPC3939). We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Our engineering team is working diligently to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.
Some customers can see a fix after completing a Factory Restore.
Reset/Restore Comcast Business Wireless Gateway
As soon as we have any updates or a permanent resolution we will be sure to post it here.
Thanks for your understanding.
Changed router password from default and now can't login.
Any way to get it reset so I dont have to perform a hard reset?
Thnaks.
Hi,
I have set up a shared folder in 1 computer connected to the WiFi and I need give access to this folder to our accounting guy. I configured port forwarding but I am not getting access to the folder.
Port forwarding is working; I have watch my security cameras in the office from a phone app every day.
The only difference that I see is the network connection: the DVR is connected thru cat5 cable and the computer is connected to the WiFi. Could be this the reason why I don't connect to the shared folder?
Thanks.
Is it possible to have my router reset tot he default password please?
I am seeing two different Wifi signals coming from my modem. One is named XFINITY and the other is xfinitywifi. Can you please turn them off?
Hello,
I want to install a firewall in my network to configure a VPN to access to my shared resources from outside of the organization.
Do I have to set up the modem as a bridge in order to do this?. If not, could you please assist with the right steps to do it?
Thanks in advance.
